We respect the privacy of visitors to our site www.southpacific.org. We never sell personal information (including email addresses) to third parties.

Log Files

As is the case with most websites, we use automated programs such as Google Analytics to collect and evaluate the data contained in log files. That includes IP (internet protocol) addresses, ISP (internet service provider), browser type, referring and exit pages, time of visit, and the number of clicks. We use this information to administer the site by tracking user movements within the site to identify trends and demographics. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Newsletter

If a user wishes to subscribe to our South Pacific Travel Newsletter (powered by FeedBlitz), the program asks for contact information such as name and email address. Out of respect for its users, FeedBlitz provides an easy way to opt-out of these communications.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on a user's computer tied to information about that user. Our site doesn't use cookies. However, some of our business partners do use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers such as Google Adsense). However, we have no access to or control over those cookies, once we have given permission for them to set cookies for advertising. The Tools menu of most web browsers allows internet users to self-manage the cookies set on their own computers (under the Options tab select Privacy).

Web Beacons

A web beacon is a transparent graphic image placed on a website to track the movements of visitors for statistical or navigation purposes. Web beacons can be used to manage the information collected by cookies, and if you have opted out of cookies, your visit will be recorded as anonymous. We do not use web beacons on this site but some of our business partners may do so in conjunction with their advertising. We have no access to the information collected by third party web beacons.
